Description
Flexible POLYCARBONATE Sheet Panels for Craft, Picture Frames, Sign Blank, DIY Display Project, etc.
【Crystal Clear & UV Protected Polycarbonate】
Experience glass-like clarity without the danger! Our transparent polycarbonate roofing panels offer exceptional light transmission, diffusing sunlight evenly to eliminate harsh glares. A co-extruded UV-resistant layer on one side blocks over 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting everything underneath from sun damage and significantly extending the panel's life by preventing yellowing and brittleness.
【Unmatched Durability & Impact Resistance】
Engineered for extreme weather. These sheets are virtually unbreakable, offering up to 200 times the impact strength of glass and 30 times that of acrylic. They are built to withstand heavy snow loads, hailstorms, and flying debris, making them a superior, safer alternative for any application. They perform reliably in a wide temperature range from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 120°C).
【Lightweight, Flexible & Easy to Install】
A DIYer's dream! Our panels are incredibly lightweight and can be cold-curved on-site to create beautiful arched structures. They are easy to cut with standard tools (circular saw, utility knife) and come in a convenient rolled format for easy handling and affordable shipping. Both sides are protected with a peel-off film to prevent scratches during installation.
【Versatile Multi-Use Application】
The ultimate solution for countless residential and commercial projects. Perfect for:
Greenhouses & Sunrooms: Provides optimal diffused light and insulation.
Patio Covers, Awnings & Carports: Creates weatherproof, shaded outdoor living spaces.
Roofing & Skylights: A shatterproof solution for sheds, workshops, and home roofs.
Privacy Partitions & Fencing: Offers transparency while defining spaces.
DIY Projects: Ideal for protective coverings for signs, art, displays, and windows.
【Essential Installation Guide & Warnings】
- Thermal Expansion: Polycarbonate expands and contracts with temperature changes.
- Drill Oversized Holes: Use drill bits 1/8 inch (3mm) larger than the screw diameter to allow for movement.
- Use Proper Screws: Always use corrosion-resistant self-drilling roofing screws with EPDM washers.
- Do Not Over-Tighten: Screws should be snug, not pinching the panel, allowing it to move slightly.
- Sealing: Use a 100% neutral cure silicone sealant for all seams and end caps. Acidic or alkaline sealants (often found in construction adhesives) will chemically damage the polycarbonate, causing it to craze and crack.
- Cutting & Panel Length: Panels can be easily cut to size. For long runs, it is recommended to join multiple sheets rather than using a single, long piece (over 20 ft / 6m) to manage expansion stresses.
- Handling & Storage:
- Handle with care to avoid abrasions. Keep the protective film ON until after installation is complete.
- Store panels flat and in a shaded, dry area. Prolonged direct sunlight on stored panels can make the film difficult to remove.
- Safety Warning: NEVER stand or walk on unsupported panels. While incredibly strong against impact, they are not designed to bear a concentrated point load like a person's weight without proper underlying support structure.
